Fresh Tortillas Packed Efficiently with Sealstrip

Azteca foods, a Chicago-based manufacturer of tortillas, incorporates Sealstrip’s resealable feature into their refrigerated tortilla packages. Sealstrip® is applied in-line by the proprietary Sealstrip® Applicator retrofitted to Azteca’s flowrappers. Providing film on demand, the Sealstrip Applicator creates the reseal feature, applies a teartape for easy opening, and creates a fold in the film, delivering the film into the wrapper as though it were flat. The wrapper performs its normal process and the feature naturally falls into place at the side of the package when the end seals are made. Sealstrip‘s resealable feature is proven technology with a guarantee of no reduction in line speeds, reasonable capital investment and additional package costs of significantly less than multi-track zippers or sliders.
