Logistics Specialist - Full Time

This individual reports to the Manufacturing Manager and works closely with both Production and Sales Support for inbound and outbound goods for Sealstrip Corporation and specifically the machine shop and tape department. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the on-time and efficient flow of goods throughout the entire supply chain. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance.

Responsibilities:
Cultivate relationships with current and prospective brokers/forwarders/carriers – including small parcel carriers
Analyze current shipment methods and contracts to provide detailed savings opportunities through cost/risk analysis and present these to management on a periodic basis on pre-determined dates
Seamlessly coordinate supply chain movement for 103 Industrial Drive and the new offsite warehouse location (TBD), including pick-up and deliveries from vendors to each location and the shipment of product back out
Coordinate in-coming deliveries with vendors and warehouse personnel
Day to day shipping and receiving
Quote shipments for customer orders domestic and international
Produce various compliance certificates for customer orders
Process small parcel carrier labels
Delivery to and pick-up from vendors as needed
Receive goods into the ERP System
Minimal customer interaction to provide PODs, BOL, and other paperwork that may be required
Enter all post-shipping activities into the Genius ERP System
Qualifications:
Degree in business administration, logistics, or related field; or 3+ years of experience in logistics management
Warehouse management – experience with multiple warehouses is a plus
Understanding of – or be willing to learn – the nuances of international shipping including required customs documents, tax and duty options, HS Codes, HTS Codes, and Schedule B Codes (this list is not exhaustive)
Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements.
Must be available Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (some flexibility in hours on case-by-case basis)
Effective communication skills; including speaking, writing, productive negotiating, and active listening
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are a must
Proficiency in Windows 10 OS (along with legacy versions), Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially Outlook 365 Email and Calendar
Within six months of start date – this individual must show a working understanding of Genius ERP; training is available
Willingness to participate in, and be a part of, Sealstrip teams and committees
